Hotornot.com & the Yearbook Picture

Way back in the day when that "new, hip" website Hotornot.com started up, I submitted a picture of myself there as a goof.

For some reason, a few weeks ago I remembered that I had done so, and went back to check out how low my score was. Inexplicably, that photo has a ridiculous high score, like a 8.8. If you don't believe me, here's the link I found.

The thing is... that was my high school yearbook photo from when I was a senior. Now, ask almost anyone and they'll tell you that they HATE their senior high school picture. Well, not me. I LOVE that pic. And having the luxury of knowing what I've become 10+ years later, I can safely say that those high school days were the best I ever looked (or ever will look).

Now here's the irony. A score of 8 or more would generally indicate hotness, unless of course all the voters are goofing on me just as I was goofing on myself by posting the pic. But could I get a date in high school? No, not to save my life. If I'd been on fire and only ladies were allowed to use fire extingushers, I'd have burned to death in an instant.

So welcome to my hell of apparently being hot in high school but completely unable to cash in on it at the time. Not that any of it matters now.
